My great great great grandfather John Thomas Evans (Born circa 1786) had, according to the 1851 census, a 22 acre farm called Waingron (more likely to be Waungron)at Llanboidy. He lived there until his death with his daughter, my great great grandmother called Bedy, and her son, my great grandfather John Thomas Evans. I cannot find any record of the farm on old maps of Llanboidy. Panteg was the next farm but one on the census and I see that appears on the list on the Crossroad Cottages and vicinity 1911 list. Perhaps Waingron/Waungron/Wairngron was close? If anyone can throw any light on where the farm might have been I would be most grateful. Mike Evans
